Die folgenden Ereignisse trugen sich am 07.09. in der Wrestlinggeschichte zu:
Ereignisse
1982: Ric Flair (http://www.genickbruch.com/index.php?befehl=bios&wrestler=67) verteidigte seinen NWA World Heavyweight Title (http://www.genickbruch.com/index.php?befehl=titles&titel=144) in der Dominikanischen Republik gegen Lokalmatador Jack Veneno (http://www.genickbruch.com/index.php?befehl=bios&wrestler=5201). Schon ein früheres Match der beiden hatte wegen des aggressiven Publikums fast in einer Katastrophe geendet und das Publikum glaubte, Veneno sei der Champion. Veneno und Flair hatten ein Finish abgesprochen, laut dem Veneno durch einen Betrug "seinen Titel" verlieren sollte. Veneno lief kreuz und quer durch den Ring, und als er sich den Ringseilen zu sehr näherte, fuhr Flairs Begleiter Roddy Piper (http://www.genickbruch.com/index.php?befehl=bios&wrestler=275) seine Hand aus und brachte ihn zum Stolpern. In der ganzen Halle waren zur Gewährleistung der Sicherheit Soldaten verteilt - und in dem Moment, als Piper eingegriffen hatte, richtete plötzlich ein gutes halbes Dutzend von ihnen seine Gewehre auf Pipers Kopf. Im gleichen Augenblick sollte Flair eigentlich Veneno covern und dadurch den Sieg erringen. Flair jedoch erschrank beim Anblick der Gewehre dermaßen, dass er Veneno auf sich zerrte und schrie, dass er ihn pinnen sollte. Veneno war verwirrt und wollte wieder aufstehen, doch Flair zog ihn zurück und hielt ihn so fest, dass er nicht mehr von ihm loslassen konnte. Dann starrte Flair zum Ringrichter und befahl ihm, den Pinfall zu zählen. Der Referee erspähte im gleichen Atemzug die Waffen, die auf Pipers Kopf gerichtet waren, woraufhin er sofort schaltete und dreimal auf die Matte schlug. Sowohl die uniformierten als auch die zivilen Personen in der Halle kletterten danach durch die Seile und wollten auf Flair losgehen. Daran, wie die folgenden Szenen genau abliefen, kann sich Flair nicht mehr exakt erinnern. Auf jeden Fall tauchte inmitten des ganzen Chaos plötzlich Flairs Freund Invader #1 (http://www.genickbruch.com/index.php?befehl=bios&wrestler=1740) auf. Er schaffte es, in den Ring zu gelangen, und von da aus brachte er Flair und Piper bis zu den Umkleidekabinen. Für die Wrestlingfans in der Dominikanischen Republik wirkte die gesamte Situation so, als hätte Veneno nicht nur den NWA World Heavyweight Title von Ric Flair gewonnen, sondern ihn auch noch im Re-Match erfolgreich verteidigt. Einige Tage zuvor war Flair schon eine andere üble Sache passiert. Er und Roddy Piper hatten ein paar lokale Fans verärgert. Daraufhin wurden sie von ein paar Soldaten die Straße runtergejagt und es wurde sogar auf sie geschossen.

Veneno und Flair hatten ein Finish abgesprochen, laut dem Veneno durch einen Betrug "seinen Titel" verlieren sollte. Veneno lief kreuz und quer durch den Ring, und als er sich den Ringseilen zu sehr näherte, fuhr Flairs Begleiter Roddy Piper (http://www.genickbruch.com/index.php?befehl=bios&wrestler=275) seine Hand aus und brachte ihn zum Stolpern. In der ganzen Halle waren zur Gewährleistung der Sicherheit Soldaten verteilt - und in dem Moment, als Piper eingegriffen hatte, richtete plötzlich ein gutes halbes Dutzend von ihnen seine Gewehre auf Pipers Kopf. Im gleichen Augenblick sollte Flair eigentlich Veneno covern und dadurch den Sieg erringen. Flair jedoch erschrank beim Anblick der Gewehre dermaßen, dass er Veneno auf sich zerrte und schrie, dass er ihn pinnen sollte. Veneno war verwirrt und wollte wieder aufstehen, doch Flair zog ihn zurück und hielt ihn so fest, dass er nicht mehr von ihm loslassen konnte. Dann starrte Flair zum Ringrichter und befahl ihm, den Pinfall zu zählen. Der Referee erspähte im gleichen Atemzug die Waffen, die auf Pipers Kopf gerichtet waren, woraufhin er sofort schaltete und dreimal auf die Matte schlug. Sowohl die uniformierten als auch die zivilen Personen in der Halle kletterten danach durch die Seile und wollten auf Flair losgehen. Daran, wie die folgenden Szenen genau abliefen, kann sich Flair nicht mehr exakt erinnern. Auf jeden Fall tauchte inmitten des ganzen Chaos plötzlich Flairs Freund Invader #1 (http://www.genickbruch.com/index.php?befehl=bios&wrestler=1740) auf. Er schaffte es, in den Ring zu gelangen, und von da aus brachte er Flair und Piper bis zu den Umkleidekabinen. Für die Wrestlingfans in der Dominikanischen Republik wirkte die gesamte Situation so, als hätte Veneno nicht nur den NWA World Heavyweight Title von Ric Flair gewonnen, sondern ihn auch noch im Re-Match erfolgreich verteidigt. Einige Tage zuvor war Flair schon eine andere üble Sache passiert. Er und Roddy Piper hatten ein paar lokale Fans verärgert. Daraufhin wurden sie von ein paar Soldaten die Straße runtergejagt und es wurde sogar auf sie geschossen.
