1946: Der Polizist und frühere Wrestler Frank A. "Tarzan" Florentine, ein 250 Pfund schwerer Mannmit Riesenbrustumfang, der mit seinen bloßen Fingern dicke Nägel verbiegen konnte, wurde von der Polizei in Denver entlassen, weil er angeblich nicht fit genug sei. Ihm wurde vorgeworfen, dass er zwanzig Kilo Übergewicht habe. Florentine sagte der Presse, dass er nun wieder zu seinem alten Job, dem Professional Wrestling zurückkehren werde.
1959: Pat O´Connor (http://www.genickbruch.com/index.php?befehl=bios&wrestler=1433) besiegte Dick Hutton (http://www.genickbruch.com/index.php?befehl=bios&wrestler=1261) und holte sich den NWA World Heavyweight Title (http://www.genickbruch.com/index.php?befehl=titles&titel=144). Hutton, der den Titel von Lou Thesz (http://www.genickbruch.com/index.php?befehl=bios&wrestler=944) gewonnen hatte, entpuppte sich als ziemlicher Flop, weil er als Champion die wenigsten Leute in der NWA-Geschichte in die Hallen zog. Während seiner Titelregentschaft verlor die NWA-Allianz einiges an Macht. Hutton war einer der besten College Heavyweight Wrestler seiner Zeit gewesen. Thesz hatte ihn selbst als seinen Nachfolger ausgesucht, weil er meinte, dass der Titel durch Hutton glaubwürdig bleibe. Mit O´Connor lief es dann schon um einiges besser: Er galt als sehr guter Worker und sein Titelgewinn legte den Grundstein für eine lange Fehde mit Buddy Rogers (http://www.genickbruch.com/index.php?befehl=bios&wrestler=307), die die erfolgreichste Fehde der NWA-Geschichte wurde.
1995: "Captain Kirk" William Shatner (http://www.genickbruch.com/index.php?befehl=bios&wrestler=16780) hatte einen Gastauftritt im King´s Court bei RAW, um seine neue Serie "Tekwar" zu promoten. Dabei kam es zu einem Handgemenge mit Jerry Lawler (http://www.genickbruch.com/index.php?befehl=bios&wrestler=61), bei dem Shatner Lawler einen Monkey Flip verpaßte. Bret Hart (http://www.genickbruch.com/index.php?befehl=bios&wrestler=25) kam Shatner zur Hilfe und hielt den King auf Distanz. Shatners Auftritt gilt bis heute als einer der peinlichsten Promi-Auftritte im Wrestling.
