Ereignisse

AWA-Promoter Verne Gagne (http://www.genickbruch.com/index.php?befehl=bios&wrestler=309) hatte nichts von dem Wechsel seiner Leute in die WWF gewusst denn die Wrestler hatten nicht gekündigt und fielen nun für AWA-Shows aus, für die man mit ihren Namen geworben hatte. Durch diese Show begann ein Krieg der Ligen, auch "War of ´84" genannt, der zahlreiche Änderungen im Wrestlingbusiness bewirkte.
1987: Eines der berühmtesten Debüts der Wrestlinggeschichte fand bei New Japan Pro Wrestling (http://www.genickbruch.com/index.php?befehl=ligen&liga=121)s "Inoki Toukon Live III" Show in der Sumo Hall in Tokio statt. Bei der Show hatte es zunächst ein tolles Tag Team Match gegeben, bei dem Riki Choshu (http://www.genickbruch.com/index.php?befehl=bios&wrestler=1454) und Masa Saito (http://www.genickbruch.com/index.php?befehl=bios&wrestler=1456) gegen Tatsumi Fujinami (http://www.genickbruch.com/index.php?befehl=bios&wrestler=551) und Kengo Kimura (http://www.genickbruch.com/index.php?befehl=bios&wrestler=1046) siegten. Danach kam es als Main Event zu einem totalen Langweiler, bei dem Antonio Inoki (http://www.genickbruch.com/index.php?befehl=bios&wrestler=1400) Choshu in sechs Minuten per Disqualifikation besiegte. Nach dem Match betrat Big Van Vader (http://www.genickbruch.com/index.php?befehl=bios&wrestler=51) erstmals die Sumo Hall. Er zerstörte Inoki, schlug ihn k.o. und pinnte die japanische Legende nach einem Powerslam in unter drei Minuten. Die Fans waren geschockt und es kam zu einem solchen Aufstand, dass New Japan für über ein Jahr nicht mehr in der Sumo Hall veranstalten durfte. Vader katapultierte sich damit sofort an die Spitze der Liga, da Inoki seit Jahren kein Match mehr mit klarem Pinfall verloren hatte. Der Mann hinter der Vader Maske, Leon White, hatte bis dahin als "Baby Bull" Leon White für die AWA und als Bull Power in Deutschland gewrestlet. Er sollte eigentlich sein Debüt bei All Japan Pro Wrestling (http://www.genickbruch.com/index.php?befehl=ligen&liga=14) feiern, aber New Japan konnte einen Vertrag mit dem Rivalen aushandeln und White für das Gimmick "Big Van Vader" gewinnen. Danach kam es als Main Event zu einem totalen Langweiler, bei dem Antonio Inoki (http://www.genickbruch.com/index.php?befehl=bios&wrestler=1400) Choshu in sechs Minuten per Disqualifikation besiegte. Nach dem Match betrat Big Van Vader (http://www.genickbruch.com/index.php?befehl=bios&wrestler=51) erstmals die Sumo Hall. Er zerstörte Inoki, schlug ihn k.o. und pinnte die japanische Legende nach einem Powerslam in unter drei Minuten. Die Fans waren geschockt und es kam zu einem solchen Aufstand, dass New Japan für über ein Jahr nicht mehr in der Sumo Hall veranstalten durfte. Vader katapultierte sich damit sofort an die Spitze der Liga, da Inoki seit Jahren kein Match mehr mit klarem Pinfall verloren hatte. Der Mann hinter der Vader Maske, Leon White, hatte bis dahin als "Baby Bull" Leon White für die AWA und als Bull Power in Deutschland gewrestlet. Er sollte eigentlich sein Debüt bei All Japan Pro Wrestling (http://www.genickbruch.com/index.php?befehl=ligen&liga=14) feiern, aber New Japan konnte einen Vertrag mit dem Rivalen aushandeln und White für das Gimmick "Big Van Vader" gewinnen.
