Ereignisse
1908: Es kam zu einem Match, das fast drei Jahre Anlauf benötigte: Frank Gotch (http://www.genickbruch.com/index.php?befehl=bios&wrestler=1891) gegen George Hackenschmidt (http://www.genickbruch.com/index.php?befehl=bios&wrestler=1288) im Dexter Park von Chicago. Gotch hatte sich dermaßen eingeölt, dass es praktisch unmöglich für Hackenschmidt war, ihn zu packen und Mat Wrestling gegen ihn zu zeigen. Gotch selber nutzte schmutzige Taktiken und verstieß gegen die Regeln, wo er nur konnte, und dem Referee schien es egal zu sein. Nach 2 Stunden und 3 Minuten verließ Hackenschmidt verbittert den Ring, woraufhin der Ringrichter Gotch den Titel übergab. Man könnte es auch Screwjob nennen.
